Paving the Way

In the summer last year I worked with MAP Charity and Leeds City Council to design and install a large scale mural on the pavement outside of Hope House.

 

The designs were co-created with the students from MAPs alternative education program through a series of workshop sessions looking at colour theory, pattern and design. I then took elements from those sessions and created a mural on the pavement outside the front of their building. The mural has helped sign post lots of people to the charity as well as improving the visual aesthetic of the streets. It has also helped give the students at MAP a sense of pride and ownership for the area.
